Business Development Manager

The Xigent Solutions’ Business Development Manager is primarily responsible for establishing new customers and identifying and developing new business opportunities. This role is responsible for driving business growth within the company and therefore plays a crucial role in Xigent’s success. He/she will develop a network of contacts to attract new clients, research new market opportunities, and oversee growth projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Identify and research opportunities that come up in new and existing markets
  2. Identify market opportunities through meetings, networking and other channels
  3. Liaise with colleagues to develop sales and marketing strategies
  4. Attend events such as exhibitions and conferences
  5. Produce reports for management
  6. Represent our company’s products, starting with a comprehensive understanding and leading to consumer research to identify how our solutions meet needs
  7. Conduct high-level industry research to develop effective sales solutions
  8. Promote the company’s products or services to prospective clients
  9. Prepare and deliver pitches and presentations to potential new clients
  10. Participate in collaborative business meetings to update key stakeholders
  11. Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  12. Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
  13. Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  14. Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  15. Collaborate with the internal team, marketing staff, and other managers to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue
  16. Set up meetings or calls between prospective clients and Account Executives
  17. Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans
  18. Present our company to potential clients
  19. Run outbound campaigns (phone calls, emails, etc.) to create sales opportunities

Required Skills

  1. The ideal candidate must have the ability to cultivate new sales leads, foster prospective customer relationships, engage in consultative selling
  2. strategies, and establish personal credibility with internal and external clients by being honest, forthright, consistent, and dependable
  3. A hunter spirit with a record of sourcing, developing, and securing partner relationships
  4. Exceptional, interpersonal and communication skills, as well as solid writing skills
  5. You must appreciate the mechanics of complex selling, have a process for lead generation, and thrive on prospecting activity

Education

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communication, or a related major is preferred
